Christopher Robin may be a heartwarming story of a grown man reconnecting with his childhood teddy bear, but a new viral video reimagines the duo as two Star Wars characters. The video may be less than ten seconds, but imagining Winnie the Pooh hunting Obi-Wan Kenobi will likely make fans of both franchises laugh.
Disney’s Christopher Robin opened up last weekend and was met with mostly positive reviews from fans and critics. After all, it’s hard to hate a film that has Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, and of course that silly old bear. The film focuses on a grown-up version of Christopher Robin played by Ewan McGregor, who comes across his old friend Winnie the Pooh voiced by Jim Cummings. The film was directed by Marc Forster, and also stars Hayley Atwell and Mark Gatiss. Like most Disney films, Christopher Robin is very kid-friendly, but this amusing fan edit would have one believing otherwise.

The viral video was recently posted on Twitter by Daniel Danger, and shows a scene where Christopher Robin stumbles upon Winnie the Pooh. The only difference is that Ewan McGregor says his famous, “Hello there” line from Star Wars-Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, to which Pooh responds in General Grievous’ voice and pulls out four lightsabers. The full clip can be seen below.
The video may seem illogical since Pooh only has two arms and he’s a teddy bear, but that doesn’t make it any less horrifying. Without context for the video, it would probably catch most people off guard since it seems like a normal scene from the movie. Finally hearing Pooh speak with General Grievous’s voice is something nightmares are made of, but humorous at the same time. That being said, there are probably a number of people who would gladly watch a movie featuring Winnie the Pooh hunting Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Ewan McGregor is probably most known for playing the role of the younger version of the powerful Jedi Knight in the Star Wars prequels. While many people don’t care for the prequels, McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi is often a fan-favorite character. McGregor is even willing to come back for an Obi-Wan Kenobi spinoff if Disney decides they want to make one. While future Star Wars spinoffs are anything but certain, McGregor has many other upcoming projects, including the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s sequel to The Shining called Doctor Sleep. While fans wait for more of McGregor’s upcoming work, Christopher Robin will continue to play in theaters for the next few months.
