One genius managed to make a mash-up of Austin’s post-match interview over Blur’s famous anthem ‘Parklife’ – and it was astonishing.

The inspired video has since gone viral and even the England striker himself helped spark the trend with the Tweet “#PARKLIFE”.

And in response, Watford attempted to mock the player by posting a clip of manager Javi Gracia’s comments on the officiating over the same song.

In the clip, Gracia is talking about a controversial penalty decision that the visitors were denied.

At one point he says: “After speaking to [Nathaniel] Chalobah he told me it was clear and then maybe [could have] changed the game from that moment.”

Alongside the video, Watford tweeted: “It wasn’t only your disallowed goal, @chazaustin10.”

But it appears the club’s attempt to upset the apple cart haven’t gone down too well.

One fan on Twitter said: “You’re embarrassing yourself lads.”
