Video of Sadio Mane copying his teammates’ celebrations is being shared on social media

Despite scoring 12 goals in all competitions – just one short of his tally last campaign – Sadio Mane has struggled this season.

The winger appears to have been affected by Mohamed Salah’s incredible debut season and looks a shadow of the player we saw last season. It certainly hasn’t helped that he’s been moved to the left wing to accommodate Salah.

However, Mane may have just got his season back on track with a sensational hat-trick for Liverpool against Porto in the Champions League.

Jurgen Klopp’s side travelled to the Portuguese league leaders in the first-leg of their last-16 clash and Mane’s hat-trick, along with goals from Salah and Roberto Firmino virtually booked their place in the quarter-finals of the competition.

But it wasn’t just Mane’s three goals that pleased Liverpool fans.

They also absolutely loved what he did during Firmino’s celebration of his goal. The Brazilian produced his trademark kung-fu kick only for Mane to copy it in the background.

It was pretty hilarious.

However, this is far from the first time Mane has copied one of his teammates’ celebration.

And a video is going viral on Twitter showing Mane on three separate occasions doing exactly what the goalscorer does – and it’s pretty hilarious.

Check it out:

But there are other examples.

Last season in a match away to Crystal Palace, Mane stole Firmino and Coutinho’s limelight by joining them in their rehearsed celebration.

And against Everton last season, you got the impression that Mane just joined the two Brazilians in the spur of the moment pose – rather than planning this with his teammates.

Whatever the reason behind it, we really hope Mane keeps up the good work. Because it’s simply hilarious.

But speaking about his difficult run of form, Mane insisted he continued to believe in himself.

“Yeah, it was not my wish but it happened,” he said of his bad form.

“It was tough on me but it is part of football and can happen.

“[But] I never doubted how I could help the team and I never stopped working hard every day in training.

“I always tried to remain balanced, even when it was not working, because it is my job and I have to do it.

“I don’t know how to describe it but it can happen to every single player and in my mind I was relaxed that it will change.”
