The alligator is seen surfacing nearby and approaching the octogenarian, who moves away from the 700-pound monster.
But the vicious reptile is too fast and she only manages to walk a few feet before it scrambles out of the water and tries to attack the dog.
Serge, who desperately tried to protect her pet from its massive jaws, was dragged underwater and killed in the shocking attack.

A recently-released video shows the moment an alligator approached a woman in Florida before dragging her into a pond.
An 85-year-old woman, identified as Gloria Serge, was walking her dog along a pond in southeast Florida, when an alligator swam to the edge of the lake and dragged the woman inside the pond.
The audio of the call made by an onlooker to emergency services was also released, revealing the horrific moment the onlooker realized it was too late to save Serge.
“Oh my God, the alligator’s got her,” the caller said.
“The alligator has a woman,” the caller continued, saying “it’s huge” when asked by the emergency services’ call operator how big the animal was.
The woman then took a pole and tried to pull the victim out of the lake but failed and could be heard telling the operator, “It’s too late, it’s too late.”
