Tony Bellew has exclusively told talkSPORT the boxing world is going mad.
So far this week, YouTube stars KSI and Logan Paul have hosted a ridiculous London press conference for their November rematch, meanwhile Tyson Fury crashed the WWE for a brawl with Braun Strowman… and it’s only Tuesday.
Fury initially rocked up at SmackDown on Friday before taking a microphone on Monday Night Raw.
Chaos ensued as the ‘Gypsy King’ and his opponent went head-to-head, much to the bemused delight of Bellew.
The ‘Bomber’ told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast: “I think he looked great to be honest. The only think I’m waiting for is Hulk Hogan to come back.
“The world’s gone mad, it literally has. I don’t know what to say to you.”
Earlier on Monday, KSI and Logan Paul’s press conference went viral not long after confirmation came that their bout will be broadcast for £9.95 on Sky Sports pay-per-view in the UK.
British world champion Billy Joe Saunders is set to appear on the undercard, causing controversy among many boxing fans.
As Brazil posed the possibility of Bellew getting back in the ring to sort this out first-hand, the former world champion replied: “Listen, they could never mess around with someone like me, mate.
“You can’t knock it, you’ve gotta give them fair play and credit for doing it, but to start saying it’s the future of boxing, give me a break, don’t talk nonsense…
“I’m not gonna lie to you guys, it’s probably gonna do more buys than 90 per cent of pay-per-views.
“That’s the crazy situation we’re looking it, it’s just insane.”
When asked if he’d appear on the undercard for $1million, Bellew concluded: “For a million dollars I’ll fight the two of them at once.”
