Rose Lavelle, the United States women’s national team’s 24-year-old breakout star at the Women’s World Cup, might end up being the face of the sport in a couple of years.

The Ohio native has been preparing her whole life for that, it seems.

Lavelle, who scored a brilliant goal in the United States’ 2-0 win over Netherlands in the World Cup Final on Sunday, has been a huge USWNT fan since she was a kid.

An old photo of Lavelle dressed up as USA star Mia Hamm has been going viral on social media in the wake of the win.

Hamm, one of the greatest players in women’s soccer history, was clearly an inspiration for Lavelle, who is well on her way to doing the same for the younger generation.

Lavelle and the rest of the United States women’s national team have since returned to America. They’ll take part in a celebration parade in New York City on Wednesday morning.

Details for the parade can be seen here.
