School receptionist belts ‘At Last’ over intercom on last day of school

Watch the video above to hear the amazing song

A North Carolina school receptionist was so over-the-moon on the last day of school, she burst into song.

Regina Ballard, who works at North Lincoln High School in Lincolnton, posted a video of herself singing the Etta James’ classic “At Last” over the intercom to students finishing their last day of school before summer.

“I love my job, y’all, but I look forward to summers when I can spend time with my grands and family, sooo… here it is… At Last!!!” she captioned the video.

“That’s it. It’s 3 o’clock y’all. At 3:15, it’s official,” she says before starting the background music.

Ballard switches the lyrics up a bit throughout, marked at the beginning of the song when she croons: “At last, summer break has come along.”

Ballard’s incredible rendition has been viewed nearly 100,000 times since Wednesday.
