INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — The Hendricks County Animal Shelter is grateful after the community stepped up in a big way thanks to a viral Facebook post.
The shelter put out a plea for help in July, but they didn’t get any donations.
After a second plea this week, food from all over the country came in by the truckload.
The shelter had to get an additional storage unit delivered to keep all the donations.
Volunteers will sort through all the donations, and they say nothing will go to waste. In fact, they plan to pay it forward after all the generosity.
