One of the goons who dumped water on an NYPD cop in a viral video has been arrested — more than three months later, cops said Tuesday.
Darnell Hilliard, a 21-year-old also known as Donnell Hillard, was picked up early Monday morning at his Harlem residence and slapped with a slew of charges, including resisting, obstruction, riot, assault, disorderly conduct and harassment, according to the NYPD.
Police say Hilliard is one of the people who tossed water on cops during a caught-on-camera incident at West 115th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue on July 21.
Two others were already facing charges over the incident, and 10 others have been identified as suspects.
The Harlem episode — along with another water-dousing incident in Brownsville — sparked outrage widespread outrage from the police unions, the top brass at the NYPD and even got a reaction from Vice President Mike Pence, who weighed in on Twitter.
Hilliard was arraigned Monday and held on $2,500 bail, according to court records. His defense attorney did not return calls for comment.
