A roller coaster ride at an amusement park in Australia turned out to be a nightmare for a young girl over the weekend. Paige Ormiston, 10, was enjoying the joyride at Movie World in Queensland and it was all good until she got hit by a large bird on her forehead while at it. The incident has been captured in a video shared on Facebook by Paige’s mother Nicole Ormiston.
Paige was visibly shocked as the bird hit her and it took her a few seconds to understand what had happened. “Paige just got hit by an ibis while riding front seat on the DC rival hypercoaster with uncle Mitch @movieworldaus,” an excerpt from Nicole Ormiston’s caption of the post read.
After the bird collided with Paige, she had “feathers on her and a beak scratch on her right shoulder.” Her mother also mentioned in the caption that Paige is “completely shocked, a little bruised but ok.”

That’s certainly scary!
Paige Ormiston spoke to 9 News about the incident and said, “I was very scared, I didn’t know what to do because I was stuck in a chair. I saw it was white but I didn’t know what it was at first.”
