Footage of The Undertaker at an old WWE house show is so bizarre it’s going viral

WrestleMania is now four months away, which means we cannot be far away from the return of The Undertaker.

We last saw the Deadman at the Crown Jewel event last month, where he and Kane were on the end of a loss to Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

Speculation was rife that Taker and HBK would clash one more time on the Grandest Stage Of Them All, but Michaels shot down that theory by saying he would head home to his family and continue his Performance Center job as a coach.

Taker’s name has been circling social media all week following the big boxing bout between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.

Wilder floored Fury in the 12th and final round of their Heavyweight showdown in Los Angeles, and as the referee counted the Gypsy King’s apparent demise, Fury rose from the mat just like Taker does in the WWE ring.

It led to countless memes and videos with Taker’s music dubbed over Fury’s recovery, sending fans of both boxing and wrestling into stitches.

And now Taker has gone viral on the social media platform Twitter once again for a completely different reason.

Old footage of The Undertaker acting bizarre at a WWE house show has gone viral.

Old footage from a house show event, which looks like it’s from around 2009, shows Taker going absolutely delirious on the apron as he waits to be tagged in by Triple H.

Sprinting up and down the ring and throwing a bottle of water over his face is not the kind of Undertaker the fans are used to seeing.

Even though house shows are designed to be more fun and relaxed than television tapings, it’s still rare for Taker to come out of his character like that, so it will have been a treat for the live audience to see that side to him.

Taker still moved at some speed during the years the video was shot as well, and although we don’t get to see that version of him nowadays, it’s still great to reminisce about.

Mark Calaway’s alter-ego has never been hotter in pop culture for some time now – a return soon would be the perfect way to capitalise on it.
