Some Florida moms are hoping their viral videos of drivers failing to stop for a school bus will remind people to keep an eye out for buses.
A woman recorded video of numerous cars speeding past a stopped school bus in Pasco County.
The video went viral over night Wednesday.
What the drivers didn’t know, was that Pasco Sheriff’s Deputies were waiting to cite them.
The woman who shot the video is hoping this story will help keep kids safe.
“We’ve already lost innocent lives in Tampa and a couple other states and I fear for those parents because a $275 dollar ticket don’t bring their child back to life,” said Monica Douglas, a local mother and witness.
The sheriff’s office confirmed 13 people were cited overall in a multi-day operation at the location.
