PEMBROKE PINES, Florida (KRON/CNN) – One college professor’s unusual punishment for tardiness led to a student gaining viral fame.
Professor Jonathan Lowndes at Florida’s Keiser University has a simple rule–if you’re late, be prepared to bust a move.
Students can’t say they aren’t warned.
While it isn’t expressly written in the professor’s American literature class syllabus, students are given a verbal warning.
Brandon Godrich had to strap on his dancing shoes when he came to class late–not just once, but twice.
“I’m trying to get ready,” Godrich said. “You either tell a joke, that’s good, bring food for the class, or dance. I had my old iPod and Bluetooth speaker ’cause I’m like…I know he’s going to play with me so I’m going along with it.”
This was the second time Gordich had to dance.
And he said he wanted to impress the teacher with his moves this time.
Luckily for those with two left feet, the professor isn’t grading students on their dancing ability.
But if you don’t, it will lower your participation grade.
