Clip of Kundariya threatening Panchayat member goes viral | Ahmedabad News


An audio clip, believed to be a conversation between union minister Mohan Kundariya, who is BJP candidate from Rajkot seat, and member of Rajkot District Panchayat, went viral on social media. The the minister is heard allegedly threatening the panchayat member to get at least 75% votes from his village in favour of BJP. On the audio clip Kundariya is heard asking one Nanubhai Dodia to convince people of his village to vote in his favour. “This time I need 70-75% vote from Kotharia. In every election you work against me. I have got the village road constructed for you. If I do not get 75% votes this time you will lose your cooperative society.”
To this alleged threat, Dodia is heard saying, “Don’t threaten me. If you want I will resign immediately. I am a Congress member of district panchayat. Mind your language and talk properly. This is my village.”

After this audio clip went viral on social media, Kundariya could not be contacted for comments.

LS polls not fought on local issues, says Rupani: Chief minister Vijay Rupani on Sunday said that the 2019 LS poll was general election and it is not fought on local issues. ” The country’s election is not fought on issues of road and water,” said Rupani addressing young voters at an event held by the youth wing of BJP in Rajkot. Rupani’s reaction was in defence of state water supply minister Kunvarji Bavaliya who courted controversy after he was was caught on camera on Saturday telling a group of women who complained about drinking water woes in their village that they should have voted for him.
