A mother was mourning the death of her son. This airline worker wanted to honor his legacy.

A 19-month-old girl made lots of new friends on board a Southwest Airlines flight Sunday and a flight attendant made her mother’s day.
Jessica Jackson first noticed Brittan Blum and her mother, Savannah, on the first leg of a flight from Austin to Las Vegas, dubbing the baby her “little buddy” and greeting her each time she passed their row.
But Brittan grew fussy and restless as the flight continued on to Reno – as babies are wont to do – and that’s when Jackson’s mom instincts took over. She then offered to give Blum a little break before takeoff.
“As a mother myself, I know what it’s like to travel with little ones,” Jackson told travel website The Points Guy. “So as soon as I saw her just a little fussy, something just told me just go help her out, someone needs to help this mom out. Let me go ahead and just grab this little baby.”
As Jackson carried her up and down the aisle, Brittan made the most of the moment, blowing kisses at the other passengers.
“Awws” can be heard throughout the cabin in a Facebook video posted by Blum, who wrote, “Everyone loves this little girl — even Southwest passengers and flight attendants.”
The feel-good video comes at an opportune time: Southwest, which is accustomed to getting love from its customers, has recently faced their wrath over what some consider an unhelpful attitude toward assisting passengers inconvenienced by 737 Max 8-related cancellations.
And the cancellations could become the new normal for much of the summer.
Southwest, which has more of the grounded Boeing planes in its fleet than any other carrier, announced Thursday that it is benching the troubled aircraft into early August.
