A video clip from an upcoming Malayalam movie that went viral recently is now at the center of a controversy.

Mumbai based Raza Academy has objected to few words of the song. They feel the words in song contents some objectionable text mentioning Islam’s holy Prophet and his wife.

In this regards, Raza Academy has written a letter to CBFC Chairman Prasoon Joshi and have asked him to block the released video.

In the same letter they have cited that there is already a FIR against film in Hyderabad but due to slow procedure no action has been taken against it so far. But CBFC should direct the concerned department to block the video.

“We have objection over few words of this song. It’s hurting the sentiments of our community. That is why we have written letter to CBFC chief. If they fail to do so, then we will take this protest in legal way by consulting our lawyer,” said Kari Abdul Rehman Jiai of Raza Academy.

Recently group of Muslim youth from Hyderabad filed a complaint at Falaknuma Police Station against internet sensation Priya Prakash Varrier and the makers of the song ‘Manikya Malaraya Poovi’ from ‘Oru Adaar Love’ for allegedly hurting their sentiments. However, the written complaint says nothing against the actress.
